You're not always going to want to smile and be happy, people are going to do or say things that make you react in anger and an assortment of other feelings depending on the situation. The question, is how long do you feed that emotion? I say as long as it is feeding your Spirit and making you feel good! But honestly how long does any salty emotion make you feel good? So I have learned how to allow myself to feel whatever I feel and then replace that thought with something that makes me laugh or happy. Slowly but surely I find, that I am no longer in that emotion and now shifting back into my sweet space. It takes time but it truly feels a helluva lot better that being angry for hours or days even.
